Job Description

Job Summary As a member of the Heritage Medical Associates (HMA) patient care delivery team, the Urogynecology Registered Nurse (RN) performs clinical, administrative, and patient care duties specific to female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery within the scope permitted by the Tennessee Board of Nursing. This position supports physicians and advanced practice providers in the diagnosis, treatment, education, and ongoing management of patients with pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infections, and other urogynecologic conditions. The Urogyn RN ensures an efficient, compassionate, and positive patient experience while coordinating care across office visits, procedures, diagnostic testing, surgical scheduling, and postoperative follow-up. This position reports to the designated Site or Department Manager and works collaboratively with physicians, providers, surgery schedulers, medical assistants, and other clinical staff in a physician-owned, patient-centered multi-specialty practice environment. The RN must demonstrate professionalism, strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to HMA's mission, vision, and values while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, HIPAA requirements, and payer guidelines. Job RequirementsRequired Valid Tennessee State RN license (or compact RN license) Graduation from an accredited RN program Current CPR certification Knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide patient care specific to urogynecology and women's health, including: Vital signs and clinical documentation Medical terminology Patient-focused customer service Medication administration and monitoring Patient education and counseling Infection prevention and sterile technique Urinary catheterization and bladder management Pre- and post-procedure patient care Pelvic exam and procedure assistance HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards IV administration and infusion care as applicable Preferred Experience in women's health, urogynecology, urology, OB/GYN, or surgical specialty clinic Experience with electronic health records (EHR), preferably Epic Prior experience in a large multi-specialty physician practice Experience coordinating surgical care and prior authorizations Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to stand for extended periods throughout the workday Requires regular walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds Must assist patients with transfers and positioning during examinations and procedures Must be able to push patients in wheelchairs as needed Requires manual dexterity for clinical procedures and equipment operation Must demonstrate strong verbal communication and patient education skills Clinical environment with exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, medical preparations, and other conditions common to outpatient healthcare settings

$32.00 - $47.00 per year
