Mandated health screenings for Pre-K, KK, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10th KK, 7th grade immunization audits End-of-year state report which sums up all clinic visits, medications given, procedures, etc. KK immunization audit (December) OSHA training School Nurse Responsibilities (Routine) Providing first aid to students/staff Performing procedures as needed to students such as g-tube feedings, assisting diabetic students with carb counting, Accu-Checks, etc. Medication administration Assist with toileting as needed Monitor special diagnosis such as seizures, diabetes, allergies, and provide emergency medication as needed Obtain Confidential Health forms, make a problem list, develop care plans based on the problem list and instruct staff on the needs of students according to the care plan. Monthly AED checks Health Education classes to include but not limited to Asthma/Clean Air classes, Handwashing, Disease Processes, Infection control Health Referral Participate in 504/IEP meeting General Meetings with parents Work with PE teachers on health related issues, assist as needed Manage communicable diseases Report suspected child abuse Provide emergency aid Health education to staff Annual District-wide AED Drill Assist staff with obtaining CPR certification Student injuries/accidents Staff injuries/workers compensation
