What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
- 7:00am NICU Department highlights: Level II NICU/Level II Maternal Designation 8 LDRPs, 5 Antepartum Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms 40
- 45 deliveries per month Small team focused on BIG teamwork! Here's What You Need Diploma in Nursing required or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program BSN preferred RN
- Registered Nurse upon hire required One year of NICU experience strongly preferred BCLS
- Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and NRP
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and CPI
- Crisis Prevention Intervention maintained annually and required within 90 days and NRPA
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required What You Will Do Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
