A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. Implement comprehensive program of health services for campus. Provide health services to students. Promote health education and preventive health practices for students.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners CPR/ AED/First Aid certification Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening Type 2 Diabetes Risk Assessment screening certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to implement policies and procedures Maintaining electronic health records
Experience:
Preferably Two years of nursing experience, preferably in school or community health
