What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
Shift:
7:00 PM - 7:00AM Experience:
- 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
- 3 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
- Travel experience is preferred.
- Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).
- This role may require floating to additional units and locations
- Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
- COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
- No current placement allowed at

Required Credentials:
All RNs (all specialties) must have NIHSS and EHAC within the last 12 months. Certifications can be obtained during onboarding.Preferred Skills/Experience:
2 years of experience preferred.Unit Details:
Adult and geriatric patient population. Cares for patients with UTI, pneumonia, respiratory failure/COPD, sepsis, AKI, chest pain, cellulitis, and AMS.Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.Special Requests:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. If candidate resides in one of the restricted counties, they are not eligible for assignment.Restricted counties:
Delta, Franklin, Red River, Hopkins, Bowie, Morris, Titus, Cass, Camp, Rains, Upshur, Marion, Van Zandt, Smith, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, and Panola. 14 days maximum time off 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years Proof of identification requiredCertifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
