Travel Psychiatric RN provides inpatient psychiatric nursing care for a 26-week assignment in Pearland, Texas. The role offers competitive pay up to $1,700 per week and supports patient safety, treatment planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients in an inpatient setting, ensuring safety and compliance with treatment plans. Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress regularly. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support crisis intervention and behavioral health strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, observations, and treatment outcomes in accordance with facility policies. Participate in ongoing training and shadowing activities during the lengthy orientation period to ensure competency and compliance.

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) license required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Minimum 2 years psychiatric RN experience Minimum 1 year behavioral health/IDD/dual diagnosis experience Minimum 1 year ER or triage experience Must reside within 35-40 minutes of the facility Ability to work day or night shifts Strong supervisory skills and ability to train new staff Excellent communication and patient management skills Ability to adapt to a slow and lengthy orientation process

Preferred Skills:

SAMA certification preferred Basic Neurocritical Care or Psychiatric certification a plus
