Full-time/Pool/PRN/Per Diem Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department. Able to triage all patients coming into emergency department. Determines care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Has principle responsibility for nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each assigned patient. Plans, provides and documents discharge planning, teaching, and educate patients, family or others to attain optimal health and continuity of care. Assures that the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through performance and supervision of subordinate personnel. Supervised by:

Emergency Department Supervisor Position Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Texas Registered Nurse License required. One year experience as a Registered Nurse in ER preferred. Current BLS for healthcare professionals required at time of hire. TNCC required within one year of hire.

ACLS & PALS

certification required within six months of hire. PALS not required once ENPC is obtained. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Basic computer knowledge required.

Functional Position Requirements:

Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing. Pushing and pulling equipment may be necessary.

Full-time/Pool/PRN/Per Diem Shift :

 Night and Other Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care for all age groups. Provides care and treatment to ill, injured and recovering patients. Performs general nursing duties within the RN Scope of Practice, and assists in other departments with appropriate supervision. Participates as primary nurse, team member or charge nurse in the planning, implementing and evaluation of patient care as needed. Supervised by Medical Surgical Supervisor.

Position Qualifications:

• Current Texas Registered Nurse Licensure required.
• Current BLS for healthcare professionals required at time of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
