What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
- Work location:
- Texas Health Cleburne, 201 Walls Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033
- Work hours:
- Full Time Nights (7P-7A) for 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements

- Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 200 patients/day 12 bed Intermediate Care Unit that is like family with an opportunity to train in ICU.
- Here's What You Need
- + Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred + Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire + BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly + ACLS within 90 days required.
- What You Will Do
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
