Healthcare Professionals accepted) Surgical-NP - Neurosurgical Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Dallas, Texas—Prefer an experienced candidate but would consider a new graduate We are seeking a Neurosurgical Provider to work with a well respected Neurosurgeon in Dallas, Texas. The provider would work at 5|8s schedule, Monday through Friday managing patients in the clinic, surgery as well as rounding in-house. Excellent collaborating Neurosurgeon and competitive compensation and benefits package.
Neurosurgical Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Overview:
  • First assist on surgical cases, to include: scrubbing in to procedure to assist surgeon, performing portions of the surgery, as per credentials, and suturing of surgical wounds
  • Coordinate daily surgical work-flow for surgical cases
  • Assist in managing the post-op care of surgical patients to include: post-op orders, prescription management for post-op patients, dictating reports, writing transfer notes|orders, ordering and reviewing post-op images, and managing post-op phone calls, and patient and nursing questions
  • Helping to facilitate and review cases on transfer patients to and from other facilities
  • Hospital rounds as necessary
  • On-call responsibilities as defined by the management staff
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduated an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Demonstrates knowledge and compliance of HIPAA regulations
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess extensive knowledge of orthopedic, neurological and spinal anatomy and physiology and understand|perform the appropriate exam techniques for evaluation.
  • Must be comfortable with pre- and post-operative patient management in a surgical setting.
  • Must have knowledge of pre-operative contraindicated medications and supplements.
  • Must have general pharmaceutical knowledge of common medications ordered for pre- and post-operative patient management
  • Must possess current Texas license and be nationally certified as an NP or PA.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred but not required.
Compensation:
  • Excellent Compensation and Incentive Bonus Plan ($100,000+ Base) Depending Upon Experience with production bonus.
