ASAP Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week night shift assignment at Eastland Memorial Hospital in Eastland, TX. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients requiring medical/surgical intervention and continuous telemetry monitoring, maintaining safety and excellence during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment & Care:
Perform continuous physical assessments, monitor telemetry rhythms, and manage care plans for a diverse medical-surgical patient population.
Medication Administration:
Safely administer oral, IV, and subcutaneous medications according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with attending physicians, night-shift charge nurses, and support staff to escalate changes in patient condition promptly.
Patient Advocacy & Education:
Educate patients and their family members regarding treatment plans, medication compliance, and discharge instructions.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic medical records within the hospital's EMR system.
Requirements & Details Specialty:
Med/Surg (General Telemetry / Med-Surg-Tele)
License:
Active TX or Compact RN License in good standing
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry experience preferred
Certifications:
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
EMR System:
Cerner Pay:
From $61.00 per hour
