Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a skilled Registered Nurse for our Level IV Neonatal ICU in Houston, TX. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to critically ill and high-risk newborns, using advanced monitoring and life-support technology. You will collaborate closely with neonatologists and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, support and educate families, and ensure the highest safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill and high-risk neonates in a Level IV NICUContinuously assess, monitor, and document newborn vital signs, status changes, and treatment responses Administer medications, blood products, and specialized therapies per physician orders and NICU protocols Operate and troubleshoot advanced neonatal equipment, including ventilators and monitors Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans Educate and support families on infant conditions, treatments, and discharge readiness Ensure adherence to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards in all aspects of care Precept and mentor new nurses and support ongoing staff education and skills development Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects Respond promptly to emergencies, codes, and rapid changes in patient condition Required Skills Neonatal intensive care nursing Ventilator management for neonates Neonatal medication administration and dosage calculation Central line and umbilical line care Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization Interpretation of neonatal labs and diagnostics Use of NICU monitoring and life-support equipment Infection prevention and control in NICUElectronic medical record (EMR) documentation Family education and discharge planning for NICU patients
