In this position, you'll provide direct and telephone nursing care, health teaching, patient advocacy, supervision and coordination of care given by others, and the coordination of services required for patients outside the ambulatory care setting in a manner that is age and developmentally appropriate. "As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards." Qualifications Bachelor's degree, associate's degree, or technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement required, or must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact BLS certification from the American Heart Association required 1 or more years of RN experience Previous experience in Occupational Health, school nursing or ER helpful Responsibilities Provides acute injury and illness treatment for non-occupational events Provides assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation follow-up of occupational injury or illness Provides an employee immunization and testing program Conducts wellness programs for employees Maintains confidential documents of employee health records Evaluates effectiveness and scope of employee health services Conducts medical surveillance Gathers research data related to Occupational Health nursing from employee records while maintaining confidentiality 100% of the time
