Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - Cath Lab Job Type Travel Experience the vibrant Gulf Coast by taking your nursing expertise to La Marque, TX—a location rich in history and coastal charm, with easy access to lively city attractions, pristine beaches, and captivating cultural sites. Working as a travel nurse here not only allows for career-boosting experiences but also the chance to explore a sought-after destination during your off-hours. This 13-week travel assignment will immerse you in a dynamic Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab environment, exposing you to cutting-edge practices across multiple campuses. The schedule includes 40 guaranteed hours per week, typically working four 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with periodic call requirements (10-14 days in a 6-week span, including 2 weekend shifts). Professional growth is fostered as you collaborate with seasoned specialists and adapt to diverse workplace cultures and leadership styles, further enriching your skillset. With responsibilities ranging from circulating and monitoring to scrub and recovery duties, this position offers valuable resume-building experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active RN license in the State of Texas Minimum 3 years' experience as an RN, including Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab BLS certification (AHA) Proficiency with cardiac rhythms, waveforms, and intervention protocols Experience with EP Studies, hemodynamics, and ablation procedures Capability to independently fulfill all department roles (circulator, monitor, scrub, recovery) EPIC charting experience (highly advantageous)
Preferred:
Advanced cardiovascular certifications (CVRNII, CCRN, RCIS, RCESE)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and assist with Cath Lab and EP procedures utilizing specialized equipment (mechanical ventilator, IABP, Impella, etc.) Float among primary campuses as needed (with prior discussion) Maintain readiness for routine exposure to radiation, lead apron use, and high-stress environments Participate in on-call rotation and adjust to variable hours for case completion
