A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Job Description

Role Overview:
The nurse practices independently within a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care while demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations. They develop long-term care plans, manage contingencies, and delegate tasks to other care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver nursing care based on the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in accordance with their practice level. Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor for side effects, and evaluate effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and available resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred. Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license. BLS certification required.
