Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care across diverse healthcare settings. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting health, managing acute and chronic conditions, and supporting patient recovery through expert care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Epic. Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic techniques and medication protocols, including IV infusions and catheter care. Monitor patients' physiological status in critical care environments such as ICU or trauma centers, utilizing physiology knowledge and telemetry systems to detect changes promptly. Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection, laboratory processing, and interpretation of results to support clinical decision-making. Provide specialized care for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care patients, and those requiring hospice or palliative medicine. Implement infection control procedures and adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in discharge planning, case management, and long-term care coordination. Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient care activities in compliance with NCQA standards and ICD coding requirements for billing and recordkeeping purposes. Experience Proven experience working in hospital settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers, emergency rooms, or critical care units including ICU or PICU environments. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient management. Extensive clinical experience in areas such as emergency medicine, hospital medicine, internal medicine, or outpatient clinics. Familiarity with advanced procedures including suturing, ostomy care, tube feeding management, ventilator support, and cardiac catheterization procedures. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs in settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments. Knowledge of infectious disease management protocols and trauma medicine practices aligned with hospital standards. Strong background in acute pain management, medication administration—including ICD-10 coding—and laboratory specimen handling. Prior experience in specialized fields such as occupational health, hospice & palliative care, geriatrics, or behavioral health is highly desirable.
