Qualifications RN License BLS Certification ACLS Certification Full Job Description Role Overview:
A registered nurse responsible for providing independent, routine, and complex patient care in a clinical setting. Demonstrates clinical competence, manages contingencies, and delegates tasks to care team members to ensure quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients. Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately. Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred. Current RN license and BLS certification required; ACLS certification required. Completion of orientation, competency validations, and participation in residency or orientation programs as needed. Knowledge of ANA standards and organizational competencies.
