Candidates should have a high school diploma or G.E.D., and be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) through an accredited and registered program, with active authorization to practice in Texas. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is preferred, with specific experience in nursing settings highly valued. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale, with all certifications obtained within 90 days of hire. Additional certifications such as TNCC, PALS, ENPC, and trauma nursing courses are preferred or required based on specific roles. Other requirements include valid Texas RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and specialized certifications depending on the role. The position may also require specific licensure types and additional qualifications based on department needs.
