Full Job Description Role Overview:

The Nurse in this position provides independent, complex patient care in a critical care or similar setting, demonstrating clinical competence and effective delegation. They utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—adapting care to meet patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. The role includes administering medications, monitoring treatment effects, documenting care, and educating patients and families. The nurse manages patient flow, plans staffing needs, and ensures unit operations align with safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver evidence-based nursing care using critical thinking and the nursing process. Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to optimize throughput. Supervise unit functions, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Promote patient safety, participate in quality improvement, and communicate effectively across care teams. Document patient information accurately, interpret patient charts, and manage medical orders. Ensure safety protocols are followed, addressing physiological and psychological patient needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum of 2 years of combined experience in critical care and another specialty; 5 years preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Current RN license, BLS, ACLS required; PALS and NRP at specific facilities. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
