San Antonio, TX Job Details Full-time 5 hours ago Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Vital signs RN License Tube feeding HIPAA Patient interaction Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for weekend overnight shifts, working Saturday and Sunday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. This vital role involves providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations, including individuals with complex medical needs, developmental disabilities, and memory care requirements. As an RN in this position, you will play a key role in ensuring patient safety, administering treatments, and supporting overall health and well-being during overnight hours. Your expertise will contribute to creating a safe, supportive environment where patients receive personalized care around the clock. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiology evaluations to determine care needs. Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, and other routes while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Manage airway support procedures such as ventilator care and airway management techniques for patients with respiratory needs. Conduct specialized procedures including catheterization, tube feeding. Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records). Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and behavioral health interventions during overnight hours. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care strategies to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications Valid RN license in good standing; prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings is highly preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia; knowledge of Alzheimer's care and behavioral health best practices is advantageous. Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of patient safety and comfort.
