ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Functions as a health care team member. Contributes to the assessment of the health status of individuals and groups. Participates in the development and modification of the plans of care. Implements care strategies within the Licensed Vocational Nurse scope of practice. Renders safe care and participates in evaluation of responses to care interventions. Delegates activities within the Licensed Vocational Nurse scope of practice and performs additional functions for which the Licensed Vocational Nurse has been trained. Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes. Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires graduation from an accredited school of practical/vocational nursing. Requires intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Experience in a medical/surgical care setting is preferred. Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Requires current state license (LVN) in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing. BLS certification is required upon hire. ACLS certification is required within 6 months of hire.
