Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN Licensure with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Maintains current BLS, ACLS and PALS for working towards certification.

Primary Function:

Performs the primary function of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all assigned patients on the unit during the shift. Is responsible for meeting the established standards or practice of Med/Surg for managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment and for promoting team work with physicians and personnel of other departments.
