Registered Nurse Med Surg Days Primary Function:
Performs the primary function of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all assigned patients on the unit during the shift. Is responsible for meeting the established standards of practice of Med Surg for managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment and for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. Cares for patients in all age groups. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN license with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Maintains current BLS, ACLS and PALS or working towards certification.
