Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Summary and Qualifications The Cardiovascular Procedural Nurse is responsible for performing scrubbing duties of routine and diagnostic cardiology and radiology procedures, for assessing the needs of the patient and for providing age specific patient care based on assessment data, current knowledge/skills, department policies/procedures and physician orders. The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist I accept assignments that are commensurate with his/her experience, knowledge and ability.
What qualifications you will need:
Education required for licensure or certification Registered Nurse (RN) - Two years of experience in critical care Previous Cath Lab experience preferred
