Registered Nurse - Surgery - FT Uvalde, TX 78801 Apply Overview Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Apply Description We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Circulator to join our Surgery Department. In this role, you will serve as a critical member of the surgical team, ensuring patient safety, managing the operating room environment, and advocating for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The RN Circulator plays a vital role in collaborating with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgeries. Key Responsibilities Assess and monitor patient needs before, during, and after surgery. Prepare the operating room with appropriate instruments and equipment. Ensure a sterile environment is maintained, upholding all safety and infection control standards. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide intraoperative support. Act as the patient's advocate throughout the surgical process. Coordinate communication between the surgical team and other departments. Accurately document patient care and surgical procedures.
Qualifications Education :
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
Licensure :
Current Texas RN license required.
Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Experience :
2 years of experience in surgical services or the operating room is required.
Skills :
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
On Call:
This position requires staff to remain within a 20 minute radius of Uvalde Memorial Hospital when scheduled On-Call. Why Uvalde Memorial Hospital?
