We are looking for a dedicated Part-Time School Nurse to join our team! In this role, you will be the heart of our campus health, ensuring our students stay safe, healthy, and ready to learn. If you're looking for a rewarding environment where you can make a daily impact without the burnout of 12-hour hospital shifts, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities Student Care & Wellness:
Provide general healthcare to students, manage daily clinic visits, and support individualized student health plans.
Health Screenings & Compliance:
Review student shot records for state compliance and conduct routine screenings (vision, hearing, and scoliosis— we are happy to train you on these! ).
Clear Communication:
Serve as the bridge between home and school. You'll connect regularly with parents, students, staff, and campus leadership to keep everyone informed and aligned.
Keep Us Organized:
Maintain precise physical and computerized medical records, and respond to emails in a timely, professional manner. Grow with

Participate in staff development, collaborate on school committees, and stay up-to-date with state and district health regulations.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university Valid TX nursing certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
General knowledge of Healthcare Ability to read/review/support health plans Ability to review shot records Ability to perform vision/hearing/scoliosis screenings (ability to learn) Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
At least one year of nursing experience
Communication:
Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, support staff, and campus/district leaders. Read and respond to emails in a timely manner. Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members. Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Working Conditions:
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of materials, media equipment, and other healthcare equipment. Join Our Team!
