Duties for This Position As a Circulating RN in the surgical suite you will provide direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. You will address the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. You will communicate with surgeons and anesthesiologists continuously and as needed regarding the patient's condition. You will assist with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory and continuously assess the operating room for equipment functioning and readiness. You will also ensure that supplies for individual cases are appropriate and ready, and the operating team is prepared for surgery. Education Requirements Graduate of accredited School of Nursing. Certification, Registration, or Licensure Current Utah R.N. license, current CPR, ACLS and PALS certification Experience Minimum one year experience in Med/Surg. required. One year experience circulating in OR preferred. Required Skills Strong written and verbal communication capabilities. Must be flexible in a demanding environment and be able to prioritize, using good judgment. Requires ability coordinate a variety of issues while being frequently interrupted and remain calm during times of crisis. Please Note All positions are subject to close without notice.
