Spend the day with him and his class, being involved in classroom learning/activities. Helpful nursing skills are g-tube feeds, seizure precautions, med administration, straight cath, diabetes management, and prevent the spread of infection. You become part of the classroom interacting with the other students and adults. Our other students need you to help manage their airway (Trach suctioning, monitor vent) ...and to play and laugh with them while they are at school. We ask you to ride the bus to and from school. Fun, teamwork-oriented classroom caring for medical fragile students (ages preschool through 21). You care for, teach and love the student in front of you. It's encouraging our students do what they can do for themselves. Lots of time for patient care with a patient load of two. Located in South Jordan/Riverton/Salt Lake NO Holidays, nights or weekends. Currently looking Mondays through Fridays from around 0715-1530. Could also be work 2-4 days/week if that is better for your home/family life. OR work as a substitute nurse for our staff who need days off. Follows Jordan School District school calendar.
