Ogden Regional Medical Center seeks an ACT Behavioral Health RN to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric nursing care for adult inpatients. In this role, you'll perform comprehensive mental health and medical assessments, administer psychotropic medications, lead milieu management, and support therapeutic groups. You will collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers to deliver individualized treatment plans focused on safety and stabilization. Responsibilities Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adult behavioral health patients in an acute care setting Perform comprehensive mental health and physical assessments and develop individualized care plans Administer medications, monitor side effects, and evaluate patient responses to treatment Lead and participate in therapeutic groups and milieu management to support patient stabilization Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other disciplines on treatment planning Educate patients and families on diagnoses, coping strategies, medications, and safety planning Continuously monitor patient safety, implement de-escalation techniques, and respond to crises Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record Support quality, safety, and regulatory standards for behavioral health services Precept and mentor staff or students, contributing to a culture of learning and excellence Required Skills Psychiatric nursing assessment Behavioral health crisis intervention and de-escalation Psychotropic medication administration and monitoring Care planning for behavioral health patients Suicide risk and safety assessment Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Group therapy facilitation support Interdisciplinary treatment team collaboration Vital signs and medical monitoring in psych settings Patient and family education in mental health
