Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Critical Care RN to join our nationwide network. In this contract role, you'll deliver high-acuity bedside care to ICU and step-down patients, managing ventilators, titratable drips, and complex monitoring. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams while documenting in EHR systems and maintaining rigorous safety and infection-control standards. Responsibilities Provide direct critical care nursing to high-acuity patients in ICU and step-down settings Administer medications, infusions, and blood products per provider orders and protocols Continuously monitor vital signs, ventilators, and hemodynamic status; respond to changes promptly Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Perform complex assessments, documentation, and use electronic health records accurately Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory standards in critical care environments Support floating/travel assignments, adapting quickly to new units and facility protocols Required Skills Critical care nursing Ventilator management Hemodynamic monitoring Titrating vasoactive drips Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) ECG/EKG interpretation IV and central line management Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Infection control practices Patient and family education
