CRi is seeking a dedicated Nurse Coordinator to lead clinical care at our ICF/IDD program. This role blends hands-on nursing with leadership and training, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a collaborative and compassionate environment. This position is responsible for programs in the following locations:
Annandale, Ashburn, & Vienna Schedule:
Varies; 40 hours;

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivers comprehensive nursing care services in accordance with the legal scope of nursing practice and the standards set for by the nursing profession, the Nurse Practice Act, and pertinent regulatory bodies. Applies the methodologies of professional nursing, encompassing assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation, while fulfilling nursing responsibilities. Supervises and provides clinical direction to LPN nurses, ensuring the provision of exemplary nursing care within the ICF/IDD. Monitors adherence to regulatory guidelines and licensure prerequisites. Conducts evaluations of individual's healthcare requirements through diverse interdisciplinary assessments and proceeds to design, execute and appraise customized nursing and healthcare strategies. Evaluates potential candidates for admission to the ICF/IDD and coordinates their healthcare requisites. Promptly attends to emergent healthcare demands of individuals and actively engages in the on-call nursing rotation. Offers guidance to CRi staff regarding health and medical concerns for individuals, as requested. Delivers training to CRi staff covering subjects like medication management, infection control, and other health-related domains. Collaborates in the formulation of guidelines and protocols pertinent to health, nursing, and nutritional necessities. Takes part in interdisciplinary planning meetings, putting forth recommendations for changes in nursing and healthcare programs and/or improvements in individual's care. Imparts healthcare insights and guidance to individuals and staff members, concentrating on health promotion and the prevention, management and mitigation of illnesses, diseases, injuries, or disabilities. Engages in specialized projects as assigned by the Director of Nursing. Serves as a stand-in in the absence of their assigned direct support (LPN). Required to exhibit effective communication skills and actively engage as a contributing member of the team, collaborating with the Program staff, Licensed Nurse Practitioner, Program Manager, Clinical Director, and the Medical Director as needed. Demonstrates clear and effective communication with all staff. Preserves a professional demeanor and appearance. Attends and actively engages in scheduled team and nursing meetings. Advocates for continuous quality improvement and professional development. #
AJSJ Minimum Qualifications:
Required to hold, at minimum, a degree from an accredited RN program . Should have up-to-date, unrestricted, active RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact. At least 2 years of experience that is directly relevant to the role's duties and responsibilities. Preferred to have a minimum of 1 year experience working with the I/DD population. Must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending the English language. Ability to make independent decisions. Ability to navigate interpersonal interactions with discretion, whether involving personnel, individuals, family members, visitors, government entities, or the general public. Leadership and supervisory skills, along with a willingness to collaborate harmoniously with and manage other personnel. Must be capable of effectively conveying information about an individual's medical condition. Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
