About us Chantilly Family Medicine and Pediatrics is a premium outpatient Primary care practice. We have been serving the Northern Virginia area for the past 14 years and are growing and looking for people to grow with the practice! Pediatric Nurse Practitioner We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our clinical team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary and/or acute healthcare to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. You will work collaboratively with pediatricians, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to perform health assessments, manage acute and chronic conditions, and provide family-centered health education.
Job Requirements:
Looking for full-time (36 hours) per week and half days alternate Saturdays Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited nursing program with a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner focus. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. State license and NP certification NPI Active DEA Registration (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date) for prescribing controlled substances. Professional and caring demeanor with good communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
Well-Child Care & Screenings:
Conduct comprehensive routine physicals, developmental and behavioral assessments, and vision/hearing screenings according to Bright Futures guidelines.
Acute & Same-Day Visits:
Evaluate and treat common pediatric acute illnesses and minor injuries (e.g., ear infections, upper respiratory infections, rashes, minor lacerations).
Chronic Condition Management:
Partner with families to manage ongoing pediatric conditions such as asthma, eczema, ADHD, allergies, and obesity.
Immunization & Preventive Guidance:
Administer and educate families on standard pediatric vaccine schedules, age-appropriate nutrition, safety, and developmental milestones.
Parent & Patient Education:
Provide empathetic, clear guidance to parents on sleep training, behavioral challenges, and adolescent health topics.
Administrative & Call Duties:
Complete chart documentation in Eclinicalworks within expected timeframes; No on-call duties at this time.
Work Remotely No Pay:
$55.00 - $70.00 per hour
