Job Description
We would love for you to come and join the Augusta Health Emergency Department. We are committed to providing quality care to the patients in the Shenandoah Valley. We see approximately 60,000 patients annually and are a Primary Stroke Center. Additionally, we are credentialed as an ACC Chest Pain Center, providing rapid intervention for those patients experiencing myocardial infarctions. Our Emergency Department has been recently expanded and renovated so we can provide cutting edge technology to all of our patients while delivering improved workflows to foster our already strong teamwork. We would love to have you join us in the Emergency Department at Augusta Health where potential and growth are an everyday opportunity! We currently have a night shift Registered Nurse (RN) position open in our Emergency Department. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the coordination of direct patient care, education, and serves as a leader of the patient care team. The RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high quality patient care. Come join the Augusta Health team located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Fishersville, VA. Requirements Nursing Diploma and/or Associate Degree in Nursing Educational requirements per hospital certifications (
Example:
Stroke, Orthopedic/Spine) Must be an RN licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia Current and valid Registered nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or from a state that is part of a Compact agreement with VirginiaCPR ACLS
prior to coming off orientation PALS within 3 months of orientation endPreferred Qualifications:
BSN, MSN
Specialty Certification Skills:
Annual education and competencies as required per hospital certifications. HIPPA- no breaches of confidentiality. Personal Protective Equipment
- when appropriate. Safe Patient Handling devices
- to minimize risk of injury. Maintains calm and safe approach within the work environment towards those that display violent or aggressive behavior. Able to communicate with patients and other staff
- verbal, auditory, and in written form using Augusta Health documentation.
