UVA Community Health Haymarket Medical Center PRN Critical Care NP or PA UVA Community Health is seeking an experienced PRN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a Critical Care team of two physicians and four APPs, with multiple PRN providers at a community hospital that practices evidence based critical care medicine with a diverse and high acuity patient population. Closed ICU model, with excellent nursing, RT and subspecialty support including cardiology, surgery, IR and neurology. Average census is eight patients a day with three on Ventilators. 11-bed unit at Haymarket Medical Center, with the ability to flex up to 19 beds Staffing model: In house procedurally trained

APP 24/7.

Physician in house during the day with home phone call availability Telemedicine support to Haymarket Medical Center for triage and management assistance to ED and hospitalist service for critically ill patients

Required:

PA or NP Degree Current Virginia medical license and DEA Experience in Critical Care medicine Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges
