A Cardiology Registered Nurse provides care for patients with heart problems. Performs cardiac tests and assessments, educates patients and families about cardiac disease and preventative health care, and cares for patients after heart surgery. Works with specialized monitoring and treatment equipment. Trained to provide emergency medical care to cardiac patients. Works under the supervision of a physician. Works in hospital cardiology or intensive care units or cardiac rehabilitation programs.

Current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority. Maintains BLS and ACLS Certifications. Hold a current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or hold a current multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse. Nationally recognized certification in field of specialization Our Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a Hybrid Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our comprehensive APP team. By joining our team, you'll provide comprehensive care to a diverse inpatient population while being supported by a top-rated health care system, fully implemented EMR, and nearby admitting hospitals.
