Overview Poplar Springs Hospital is a 183 bed acute care and residential facility. For more than 30 years Poplar Springs Hospital has been guided by its mission of helping those who need the full continuum of behavioral health services. Our facility offers behavioral and psychological treatment for adults and adolescents through our acute programs, adolescent residential programs, as well as programs for active duty military. Poplar Springs Hospital is located in Petersburg, Virginia, 20 minutes south of Richmond and 50 minutes north of North Carolina. Situated on 25 acres, our serene, nature-like setting offers our patients a sense of calm and peace. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. The Human Resources Trainer oversees training for the the entire hospital. Oversees all areas of training to include, but not limited to, orientation and annual trainings. Ensures that employees have continuous education in the areas of Caridopulmonary Resuscitation, First Aid & Safety Crisis Management and Handle with Care. Collaborates with Risk Management, Employee Health and Clinical Disciplines to provide in-services for areas of risk. Communicates learning opportunities to staff members. May be required to be available for all shifts for in-services. Provides education for corrective actions as needed. Performs other duties as directed.
Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
PHR Certification preferred Virginia Or Compact RN License in good standing.
Education/Experience:
Registered Nurse is required Minimum of one- year training experience required Prior hospital experience preferred Experience in various programs such as WorkDay (HRIS), Healthstreams (LMS) and UKG (Payroll) Preferred. Masters in Human Services required
General Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age per Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services. Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm. Good communication skills; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Basic clerical skills, basic experience with office equipment (telephone, copy machine, fax, etc.) Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Ability to problem solve and accept feedback when circumstances warrant such actions. Willingness to interact with patients with varying levels of cognitive functioning. Pay:
$41.98 - $52.48 per hour
