Full Job Description Role Overview:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Critical Care at a pediatric facility.
Responsibilities include:
Performing comprehensive nursing duties such as patient assessment, monitoring, administering treatments, executing physician orders, documenting care, and providing emotional support. In PICU, additional tasks involve caring for critically ill pediatric patients, managing anesthesia recovery, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, administering medications, operating advanced medical equipment, and recognizing signs of abuse or neglect.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Must hold current, unrestricted RN license and relevant certifications (BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E.). At least 12 months of experience in a pediatric critical care setting is required. Must be U.S. citizen, proficient in English, physically capable of extended standing/sitting, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements:
Strong teamwork, time management, adaptability, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and respond effectively to emergencies. Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training activities.
