Job Description

In addition to delivering exceptional healthcare services, Sentara collaborates with community organizations to address social determinants of health and enhance overall quality of life. About the Unit Our newly remodeled endoscopy unit features three state-of-the-art procedure rooms and is staffed by a dedicated team of six RNs and endoscopy technicians who work closely with a primary GI outpatient provider, with additional staff available for call coverage and surgical needs. The team performs an average of 12 to 15 procedures daily. Extensive training, lasting 4 to 6 weeks, ensures the endoscopy technician will be proficient in equipment handling, assisting during procedures, and supporting hands-on surgeries. Our experienced gastroenterologists and colorectal surgeons, deliver comprehensive care through both outpatient and inpatient services, ensuring the highest quality patient care.
