Job Overview About the unit:
The Medical-Surgical Unit at Sentara Obici Hospital is a great place to learn and grow, supported by a longstanding leadership team and strong preceptors dedicated to mentoring new nurses. With a 21-bed capacity, an RN-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 6, and PCTs assisting with an average of 10 or 11 patient s, the unit offers a collaborative, supportive environment ideal for both new graduates and experienced nurses seeking to enhance their skillset. Unit coordinators are on staff, ensuring smooth operations and quality patient care. Sentara Obici Hospital is a certified stroke center and a designated Magnet hospital recognized for excellence in patient care, making it a truly rewarding place to develop your nursing career while making a meaningful impact.
