Position Highlights:
Dedicated 1:1 care for a medically fragile high school student Direct support during bus rides to and from school Act as the primary provider, operating independently from the main school nurse Opportunity to make a direct impact in a student's life while broadening your pediatric nursing experience
Qualifications:
Active Virginia LPN/LVN or RN license Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is required Comfortable working autonomously and managing critical care outside a typical hospital setting Prior school nursing or pediatric experience preferred
Responsibilities:
Monitor and attend to all medical needs during the student's school day and bus transit Perform trach and vent management as needed Communicate with teachers, parents, and the broader support team to ensure comprehensive care Maintain thorough and accurate documentation
