13 Weeks Shift Details Night Shift 3x12 Hour Shifts 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Every Other Weekend Required Position Overview A healthcare facility in Newport, Vermont is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a combined Med Surg, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Telemetry assignment. This role is ideal for a clinically strong nurse who is comfortable working independently, managing complex patient care, and supporting multiple units as needed. The ideal candidate will have recent acute care experience in Med Surg, PCU, or Telemetry environments and possess strong clinical assessment, communication, and leadership skills. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in Med Surg, PCU, and Telemetry units Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols Interpret cardiac telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to patient status changes Perform charge nurse responsibilities independently when required Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care Float to other units based on staffing and patient care needs Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation Ensure patient safety and compliance with healthcare standards and policies Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required Current BLS certification required Current ACLS certification required Recent experience in PCU, Med Surg, and/or Telemetry required Previous charge nurse experience preferred Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills Flexibility to float between units as needed Preferred Skills Experience caring for patients with acute and complex medical conditions Strong telemetry interpretation skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment Excellent communication and teamwork abilities For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
