Job Description
Lamoille South Supervisory Union is looking for an RN to join our team as a Substitute School Nurse.
In this role, you'll step in when needed to keep our health offices running smoothly when our regular school nurses are out.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver compassionate nursing care to students from Pre
- K through 12th grade.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following district guidelines.
- Provide appropriate care during urgent and emergency situations
- Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, staff, and healthcare providers as needed
- Maintain clear, confidential health records for the day.
- Follow school health policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
Qualifications:
- An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Vermont
- Professional, dependable, and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous pediatric or school nursing experience is preferred but not required
- Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills
- Current CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain/renew
