Job Description

Job Title:
Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN - Scrub & Circulate)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with dual scrubbing and circulating experience to join a dynamic surgical team in an outpatient and limited inpatient surgical setting. In this role, you will deliver specialized perioperative care across multiple service lines—including ophthalmology (cataracts), general surgery, urology, podiatry, endoscopy, and pain procedures—serving adult and geriatric patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
Intraoperative Care:
Serve as both a Scrub and Circulating Nurse during surgical procedures, maintaining strict aseptic technique and patient safety protocols.
Specialized Cataract Support:
Utilize hands-on cataract surgical expertise to support high-volume ophthalmic and ambulatory procedures.
Surgical Service Delivery:
Provide perioperative care across diverse service lines, including general surgery, podiatry, urology, endoscopy, and pain management. PACU /
Phase I Care:
Assist with Phase I post-anesthesia recovery management to ensure smooth patient transitions from surgery to discharge or inpatient units.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to maintain efficient operating room flow.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Specialty Experience:
Demonstrated experience with cataract surgical procedures [Required - Non-Negotiable] .
Clinical Experience:
Minimum of 2-5 years of dedicated Operating Room RN experience [Required] .
Dual Competency:
Proven capability in both Scrubbing and Circulating roles [Required] .
Recovery Experience:
Phase
I / PACU
recovery experience [Required] .
Facility Adaptability:
Experience working in smaller-volume OR facilities [Required] .
Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License [Required] .
Certifications:
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required] . Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the AHA [Required] .
Logistics:
Reliable personal transportation [Required] .
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) [Preferred] .
Pay:
$55.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
