1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level II Trauma Center experience and prior travel nursing experience. Details Level II Trauma Center Adult/Pedi ER, including ED Holding, Triage, and Urgent Care areas Treats chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness, abdominal pain, and emergent, urgent, and non-urgent conditions and injuries Pediatric patients make up approximately 20% of the caseload Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30 13-week assignment length Floating between sister facilities may be required Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required Level II Trauma Center experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required Skilled in chest tube setup/care, TPA administration, breathing treatments, trach care, RSI drugs, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, LVAD/Impella management, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and rapid infuser use Additional skills include respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, ABG interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility to be considered, or accept a lower bill rate if outside this radius Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff, including location and dates
