Minimum Requirements:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as aRegistered Nurse Experience:
A minimum of one (1) year qualifying experience in the past two years as a Registered Nurse inPediatrics Degree/Education:
Minimum of Associate's degree in nursing. The school must be accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and/or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). For education outside the United States, only the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing School reports are accepted (CGFNS), for overseas degree verification BLS (American Heart Association) ACLS (American Heart Association) PALS (American Heart Association)Additional Requirements:
Must pass TB Test Subject to a background/security investigation Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements. Pre-employment drug screening US Citizen Contract workers shall maintain good personal hygiene and present a well-groomed and professional appearance IAW the policy at the place of performance.Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive assessment and total care for pediatric patients. Administer complex treatments, including IV push medications. Monitor invasive and non-invasive equipment and evaluate fluid balance and laboratory results. Develop and update individualized patient care plans. Provide and receive patient reports and communicate with nurses and physicians. Administer and monitor IV fluids, blood, and blood products. Perform catheter, NG, OG, GT, GJ, and ostomy care. Perform IV placements, laboratory draws, and specimen collection through appropriate routes. Change IV fluids and tubing while identifying and addressing potential complications. Administer medications through various routes, including oral, IM, SQ, IV, and topical. Provide direct pediatric care, including lifting, turning, ambulating, transporting, positioning, hygiene, dressing, and feeding. Work within scope of practice and assist in other MAMC clinical areas as needed.
