Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity serving as a Registered Nurse in a dynamic K-12 school setting. This contract position offers full-time hours—37.5 per week—throughout the entire 2026-2027 academic year, running August through June. You'll play a crucial role in supporting student health and wellness, working from a well-equipped general health room and collaborating closely with faculty and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive care and health assessments for students K-12. Manage daily health needs, administer medications, and respond to emergencies. Promote a healthy environment through education, advocacy, and adherence to school health policies. Accurately document health visits, interventions, and care plans. Work independently, utilizing your experience and clinical judgment to prioritize student needs. Serve as a resource to staff and families, communicating effectively and compassionately.
Desired Qualifications:
Current RN license (BSN) for Washington State is required. Proven ability to supervise your own practice and operate independently within the school setting. Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care is highly valued. Strong organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills. Commitment to a full school year, supporting continuity for students and staff.
