Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in grades 6-12 as a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This role reports directly to the Director of Special Education with a start date in early September and runs through mid-June, offering a full-time, 37.5-hour workweek. The caseload includes between 70-80 students, allowing you to make a significant impact while working closely with supportive educational teams.
What you bring:
Current, active Washington SLP license Credentials in SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or related pediatric and school-based specialties Experience or training in assessment, evaluation, and consultation services Commitment to serving students with special education needs and engaging their families Strong collaboration, professional relationship-building, and community partnership skills A lighthearted, engaging approach to fostering a positive atmosphere Solid knowledge of special education law, processes, and disability categories—including early learning or atypical impairments Organizational skills for implementing and coordinating all stages of special education identification Excellent verbal and written communication, including active listening and clear, effective interactions with students and staff Key responsibilities: Deliver direct and indirect therapy services and support to middle and high school students Perform assessments and create individualized treatment plans Consult with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Participate in IEP processes and special education meetings Document progress and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines You'll enjoy a competitive pay rate commensurate with your credentials, comprehensive healthcare options including vision and dental, and access to a 401(k) plan.
