Required Skills/Experience:

Prior floating experience required (float pool shifts, other facilities, and/or floating to other floors/units).

Preferred Skills/Experience:

High acuity experience preferred.

Special Requests:

An interview may not be available prior to offer. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details:

Patient ratios are typically 1:1-2 depending on acuity; may be 1:3 for lower-acuity assignments or patients with transfer orders. Medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac patient population. RNs titrate drips including Epi, Norepi, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, and CIS. Uses vents, high flow, BiPAP, and CPAP. Uses Phillips monitors; at least 1 monitor tech; RNs read strips. Charge/resource nurses do not take assignments. Charge RN creates assignments at 0645-1845; RNs choose assignments.

Shift & Scheduling:

3 weekend shifts per schedule. Holidays as required. No call.

Floating Requirements:

Float pool includes Critical Care Unit, Observation, Med Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care. Eligibility as
