Full-Time Job Summary EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting the health, safety, and well-being of students while supporting a positive and inclusive learning environment. The School Nurse will collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers to ensure students receive the medical support they need to succeed academically. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, illness assessment, emergency care, and health counseling. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with chronic medical conditions. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to support student health and educational success. Participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings when appropriate to address students' healthcare needs. Conduct required health screenings, including vision, hearing, and other state-mandated screenings. Respond promptly to medical emergencies and implement emergency response procedures. Promote health education, wellness, disease prevention, and infection control throughout the school community. Qualifications Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Current CPR/BLS certification. Previous school nursing, pediatric, public health, or community health experience preferred. Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, IEPs, and school health regulations is preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, school staff, and healthcare providers.
