The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, monitor post-operative recovery, and coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary partners. Prepare patients for surgery and support post-operative recovery, including pain management and wound care. Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions. Document all care, assessments, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record. Participate in quality and safety initiatives, adhering to hospital policies, infection control, and best practices. Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate interventions and escalating care when needed.
