1 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long-Term Care/SNF unit requiring 1 year of experience and WI or compact RN licensure. Details Nursing home attached to a hospital, 70-bed unit with majority private rooms Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF) setting within a Post Acute care environment Patient population includes elderly and frail residents with dementia, focusing on rehabilitation Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:20 for RNs and LPNs, and 1:8 for CNAs Evening shift from 2:30pm to 11:00pm, 8-hour shifts Every other weekend and holiday coverage required Floating required No on-call responsibilities Uses an EMR described as other computerized system(s), transitioning from Cerner to EPIC Requirements Active WI RN license or compact RN license required Current BLS certification (AHA) required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Elderly care experience required BSN not required for this position Experience with IVs, titratable drips, catheters, and ostomy care preferred Two professional references required: one from a supervisor and one from a peer or supervisor Additional Information Responsibilities include charting, assessments, charge nurse duties, medication administration, and clinical skills such as IV therapy, catheter care, and ostomy care Works alongside an interdisciplinary team including therapy, administration, social workers, activities, dietary, and housekeeping staff DON, charge nurse, and house supervisor support available Physician availability after hours Respiratory therapy on-site 24/7 On-site pharmacy with medication dispensing system Unit staffing includes 4 nurses and 7 aides during day/PM shifts, and 2 nurses with 3-4 aides during night shift Must be available for at least half of the holidays during the assignment Dress code requires any solid color scrubs, clean and professional in appearance Unit-specific orientation varies based on individual skill level Candidates must clock in and out at the facility Former Marshfield employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration for this position Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
